Strong keiki's

My neighbor has a set of two year old twins (boy and girl).  We were at boiling pots together, and all three keiki started pushing their jogging stroller up the hill.  It was sooo adorable, and funny!

Aliyahs House

Mom made Aliyah a house out of a couple HUGE card board boxes, you know, the large packing boxes.  Mom cut out a door and window, then put a white fuzzy rug for the ground.  Aliyah just loves playing in it.  Kaya even goes inside sometimes too!  Aliyah loves to invite mommy and Raul into her house too.  Here we all are...  hehehe...

In the pic, Aliyah doesnt look too happy, but she really is, lol.  She just doesnt smile for pictures often

Chocks (The Beach)

Today we went to Chocks.  We had a lot of fun looking in the tide pools for fish, crabs, and snails.  We found a few crabs that took over the snail shells.  No matter what beach we go to, we always have fun.

Little crab that took over a snail shell.

Liliokalani Park

Today we went to Liliokalani Park.  We walked around the park, up and down the bridges, then played with bubbles.  I think Raul and I had more fun than Aliyah with the bubbles, lol.  (I dont have a pic of the bubbles).

Aliyah's Hair

My girlfriend, Ingrid, came over to help me and to teach me a few different ways to style Aliyah's hair.  Ingrid is a pro at styling and braiding hair.  Aliyah did very well standing while we did her hair... ok, ok, we put an Elmo DVD on!!  Lol.

First time Aliyah getting her hair styled.

The finished product.  Love it!!

First time I did aliyahs hair on my own.  Not too bad :)

Ingrid came over again to show me how to braid Aliyahs hair.
Impressive huh??

Thank you Ingrid!! We love you :)

My first attempt at braiding Aliyah's hair.

Volcano

We went to the Volcano today.  We had so much fun!  Here's some pictures...
On our way to the Lava Tube

About to enter the Lava Tube

Can you see the crater and steam vent to the left?

Look at these two happy guys :)
I'm a lucky lady!!

Awesome steam vent

My family :)

Pele's Hair - thin, fragile strands of volcanic glass.
They form when molten lava is ejected into the air during an eruption.

Pele's Tears - solidified droplets of lava that form during an eruption.
Tears can sometimes be found attached to the end of a strand of Pele's hair.

Pic of Pahoehoe and A'a Lava.  The pahoehoe (smooth) lava forms when the viscosity
of the lava has low gas bubbles and is at a high temperature, and when the eruption rate, steepness of ground are low.  Just the opposite conditions form a'a (fragmented and rouh lava).

At one of the visitor museams.

Aliyah getting a ride on Raul's shoulders.

Eating lunch.  Aliyah got the best seat ;)

Aliyahs Tutu

Raul and I bought Aliyah this hot pick tutu.  Well, actually, I was the one who was going banana's over it, and Raul said "ok".  Hahaha.  So we got it.  It's a little big, but I couldnt resist putting it on Aliyah.  She had a lot of fun wearing it.
