May 2012 Keiki Steps

Here are the cool things Aliyah did at keiki steps this month...

5/1/12  Here we have catfish to play with from one of the teachers farm.
Aliyah loved the catfish, they were so mellow and allowed us to feel
their slimy skin.

5/2/12  Aliyah is putting tossing rings around her neck to
use as a necklas, hehe.

5/2/12  Aliyah literally has two (dead) fish in her hands.  She loved them!!
She stayed at this station almost the entire day.
Thank goodness they wern't stinky fish!!

5/2/12  Aliyah and Teo.  This is just too darlilng.

5/7/12  Aliyah cleaning up the sand from the carpet.
What a big helper!

5/7/12  Aliyah made this art masterpiece all by herself.
She used the markers and drew, then squeezed the glue onto the plate.
Next, she added colored tape.  Last, she put sand on the glue!  Amazing!

5/10/12  We are still in the beach theme here.  Aliyah likes to
use the sand toy as a hat, hehehe.

5/10/12  Where's Aliyah???

5/10/12  Peek-A-Boo!!!  This is a baby pool (without water).
The orange thing in Aliyahs hand/back is a "turtle shell".
She had a blast playing and jumping in this pool :)

5/14/12  Colorful rice, uncooked, lol.  The keiki got so
wild with this rice, that the teachers took it away!

Aliyah and Kaya

We just returned home from spending 5 days in Oahu.  Aliyah missed Kaya so much.  So when we came home, Aliyah wanted kaya next to her and with her in everything she did.  So here is Kaya and Aliyah inside the playpen.  Hahahaha.

It's a challenge to capture a smile on camera with Aliyah, but she is truly really happy here!
And Kaya's smile just says it all. Lol

Oahu trip to visit Raul!

We planned this Oahu trip to visit Raul from May 17 to 21.  We had a blast!  Aliyah is 18 months old.  Aliyah and I stayed in a vacatio rental, literally on the beach, and the beach was gorgeous!  So, we went to the beach every morning, and after Aliyah's nap, we went to the park with the swings everyday, we went out to eat three times, we went to a Japanese Temple, our Temple, Ala Moana Shopping Center, the Disney Hotel (just to swim hehe), to the Zoo with Max and Cliff (pictures in another post), to church, and Raul showed us his work, and we got to meet a bunch of Raul's friends.

Here we start, Aliyah and Mommy on the airplane!

Aliyah is buckling her seatbelt, all by herself, then tightening the strap.
Aliyah, you are such a good girl!

Oahu's cheap gas!!  Hilo was around $5.00 at this same time!

Aliyah riding the horse at Ala Moana Shopping Center.

These next few pics are of our time spent at the beach, aka, my back yard at the vacation rental, lol!
We digged MANY holes for our "little baby pools" and sand castles :)
My little sandy beach baby.

My even sandier beach baby! lol!  She's chillin with her shades.

Yes, sandy from head to toe!  Literally!! Hehehe

Mama with baby :)

This is the face of a happy little girl!

The next few pic's are of the Japanese Temple & Park....

Here is a good looking couple!  Hehe

Raul and Aliyah, walking while holding hands, too cute.

Raul and Aliyah feeding a few of the hundreds of Koi fish.

Here we are with the Temple in the back ground.  This temple is a replica of the
original one in Japan.  It is built without the use of any nails (or screws)!

My beautiful family.

The next couple pics are taken when we spent time walking around the Laie Temple...

Here we are at the visitor center.

Aliyah walking up the stairs towards the Temple.
Keep it up, my little one, you're on the right path ;)

The next few pic's are of our time spent at the Disney Hotel & Resort.  We just went there for the day to swim.  Now, this took a lot of convincing to get Raul to agree to this.  He has never done anything like this before.  We had lots of fun swiming and walking around.  And we did put back into the hotel, we ate dinner there :)

In the car.

Here's Stitch, from the movie Lilo and Stitch.
One of my favorite quotes (and it's from Stitch):
"Ohana means family, family means nobody gets left behind. Or forgotten."

Watching the Koi fish.

Aliyah says "CHEESE!!".

The Zoo with Max

Aliyah and I went to Oahu.  Today we went to the Honolulu Zoo.  Raul, Aliyah and I met up with Cliff and Max.  Max is 7 years old, and Aliyah is 18 months old.  This was the first time Max and Aliyah met in person.  We all had so much fun!

Happy Mother's Day

For Mother's Day this year, Raul suprised me and send me two dozen gorgeous red roses, a beautiful card, bath salts and chocolates.  He planned it to be shipped when I was off of work and early so that I could enjoy the roses longer.  The roses smelt incredible, they were so fresh that they opened up to be huge flowers.  The card Raul wrote was so heart felt, it made me cry :)  And, not to mention the chocolates were delicious!

Aliyah enjoying sitting on the box that Raul sent to me :)

Here is mommy and Aliyah with all of the goodies from Raul.

Gorgeous two dosen red roses.  They look beautiful here, but were breath taking in person!
