January Keiki Steps
I take Aliyah to Keiki Steps. Keiki Steps is a preschool for the keiki from 0 to 5 years old. The parents have to stay with the Keiki and interact with them. We love keiki steps. Each month they have a theme, shape and color. There are tables set up around the room with different actvities. After the activities are complete, the little ones get a snack then it's play time, sometimes indoors and sometimes outdoors. Aliyah is 15 months old. Here are some pictures from January...

Old Fashion Dress
For the people who know me, I love dressing Aliyah very well and very cute. I don't spend a lot of money, but I do manage to get a lot of things for her. I've been told many times that "Aliyah is the best dressed baby I've ever known". Hehe :)
I got this old fashion dress for Aliyah from a garage sale for $0.50. I just think it's so adorble on her.

Aliyah's First Letter
Aliyah recieved her first letter in the mail box today. I wrote a letter to Aliyah at keiki steps and Aliyah put the stamp on the envelope. Aliyah has recieved cards and such in the past, which I keep, but this is her first letter that came from the mail box!
Pig Tails Again!
The first time I put Aliyah' hair in pig tails was in December. We tried again :) Aliyah is really just so darling in anything she wears or with anything she does, so this is no different.

Thimbleberries!!
My sisters and I LOVE thimbleberries! There were lots of berrie bushes on our property growing up, and also at Boiling Pots. Thank goodness for Boiling Pots, because now every year I get to pick them. The bushes are behind the fence, so I can get to the ones that are close. My hand does not fit through the links of the fence. Last year when Lisa and Hannah came to visit, Hannah got all the berries! Her little hand fit right through the fence! Hannah come back to us!! ;)
Tons of Thimbleberries!
Two perfectly ripe, sweet thimbleberries.

Aliyah taking a berry from my hand and eating it.
This little girl loves thimbleberries! 'Can't blame her!
A green berry. It's on it's way to turn red, ripe, and tasty!
This is what it looks like when it's just starting out. Pretty huh?

Kaya and the Corn Cob
We ate fresh corn on the cob tonight for dinner. Everyone thought it was so yummy.... even Kaya! She somehow got a hold of the cob after we ate the corn off it! Lol! Then, Kaya ran downstairs and literally ate the entire cob! Hahaha!
Yummy bite!
This is what is left of the corn cob. It was 3 times as big when Kaya started lol. |

Playing With An Empty Box
I love that the "simple" things can be turned into super fun toys. Here is an empty box and Aliyah, Grandma, and I played with for an hour! Aliyah climbed inside the box, outside, on top, then turned the box on its side to crawl in from a different direction. This was a great night. Right before bedtime :)
Aliyah climbed inside the box... all by herself!
"Hi!!" Aliyah is so good at talking!
Big smiles from the sweetest baby!

Trip to the Zoo!
Aliyah and I went to the Zoo today. We had such a good time seeing the animals. Towards the end of our trip, Aliyah played on the new play ground. They play ground is amazing! It's the largest (and newest) on the island.
Hawaii State Flower is the (yellow) Hibiscus. Here is a pictue of
a hibiscus tree with pink flowers. I just thought this was a beautiful
picture. There is a fern to the left, also yellow and red tei leaf plant.
Hawaiian Hawk, see picture below.
We are such a special island to have the Hawaiian Hawk here.
This little girl has her eye on the picture below. Birds and chickens!
Aliyah loves birds, she points to them and says "bir".
She loves chickens, and roosters too. We have them loose in the back yard where every
morning, Aliyah and I look watch them for a few minutes.
Aliyah can crow like a rooster! It is sooooo cute!!
Birds and chickens eating grain from the ground.
Aliyah loves ducks. She can say "duck".
Cute little turtle.
I love this tree. When I grew up, there was a tree like this on our property.
We had 21 acers and called it "The Property". I played there almost everyday.
This was my favorite tree on that property. My sister and I would pull off the leaves and pretend they were swords and other things, lol.
Aliyah also loves parrots. She has a book that there is a great picture of a
parrot, she knows exactlly which page it is on and turns to it all the time.
She is so smart!!
Beautiful!! This male peacock was walking around the Zoo showing off his
beautiful feathers! Very impressive Mr. Peacock!
