Playing Music

This morning Aliyah was playing with her toy pianos.  She's getting really good.  In a couple years, she'll start professional lessons.

Aliyahs' Blood Test :(

Every baby, before the age of one, needs to take a blood test.  It's mainly to text for iron in to body.  It's a poke on the finger (like you would do if you're diabetic to check blood suger).  Aliyah and I didn't like it one bit.  :*(

Trip to the Zoo

We went to the Zoo today.  It was very exciting to see the white tiger play with his tire and in the water.  We saw monkeys, birds, dear, ducks, and many other neat animals.  Here are some pics...

Sleeping Aliyah

Lately Aliyah has been falling asleep on our morning walk.  I just love the position she is in with her foot kicked up, and with the close-pin in her hand, lol.  When we go on a walk, I put sunscreen on her (of course) and I also cover half of the stroller with an ultra thin blanket to block the direct sun.  I use close-pins to keep the blanket from blowing away.  Aliyah always needs to hold a close-pin.  :)

Mountain Climber!

Aliyah is discovering all sorts of new things she can do.  Here she is on the top of her walker.   She climbed on it all by herself!  I gotta always keep my eye on this little munchkin! ;)

Onekahakaha

Aliyah and I went to Onekahakaha.  It was a georgous day!  Aliyah wore her new bathing suit for the first time, and of course I took pictures!  :)

Grassy Foot

We go on walks to Boiling Pots daily.  Today the grass was a little wet from the rain last night, but Aliyah still loved to walk around on it.  The grass was cut early this morning, and so pieces of fresh grass stuck to her foot.  Here is a pic of her grassy foot...

The Infamous Carrot

Last night for dinner I steamed fresh broccoli and carrots (along with salmon and rice).  Aliyah loves to see what I'm doing when I'm cooking and sometimes I cant hold her, like while I'm cutting something.  So, after I pealed the carrots, I gave one to Aliyah to play with so I could put down without her crying -- she knows when I'm cooking, there's something exciting to watch, so she crys if I put her down because she feels left out.  But this carrot kept her busy and happy!  She LOVED this carrot!!  She crawled around holding it, she talked to it, and hit things with it.  And when she dropped the carrot, Kaya snached it up, lol!!  I wouldn't let kaya have the carrot, but between the two of them, this carrot was the high light of the evening.

Aliyah and I were playing with the play toaster.  She is still a little to young for this toy, but she had fun opening and closing the compartment where the toast comes out of.

ALIYAH'S FIRST STEPS!!!!

Aliyah has been walking with assistance since she was 7 months old....  But, today, she walked 3 steps all by herself! Aliyah, Grandma, and I were all playing in the living room after church... and sure enough, she took off all by herself!  Aliyah is 10 months and 3 days old today.  I'm so proud of you Aliyah!

Beach Day

We go to Onekahakaha Beach to swim and to have play dates.  Today we went there with Katrice, Robin and Naeem Gleason; Melissa and Leia Walkin.  Here are some photos...

This one of my favorite things Aliyah does... She scrunches up her nose and breaths in and out hard so you can hear her.  She only does this when she's super excited about something.

August 30, 2011 - Aliyah got her 3rd tooth, her left lateral incisor.

Sept 1, 2011 - Aliyah got her 4th tooth, her right lateral incisor. 

Trying to get a pic of her beautiful teet has proven to be a difficult task!  But I did get one :)
